"BRINDABELLA FLAIR " TM

A low or NO BLACKSPOT ROSE nor mildew. Sweet, old rose perfume and very free flowering with repeat every 7 weeks. Our favourite rose and every garden should have one or a group. This could be called the NEW chameleon rose, as it's flowers are everchanging as they age, the red edge suffusing right throughout the flower.Plentiful glossy green foliage looks great all year round. 1.2m x 1m bushy shrub. Bred here in Queensland at our nursery.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

 

"BRINDABELLA SUNRAY " TM

BLACKSPOT BUSTER ROSE. This modern shrub rose has clusters of good sized flowers in clearest, pure yellow. Bright and fresh with lots of very healthy dark green foliage setting of the flowers beautifully. There is a lovely perfume. This rose is rarely without a flower, giving perpetual colour in the garden and suits pots very well also. Use this rose as a perpetually flowering shrub in your garden in full sun or part shade in amongst other plants or a bed of it's own. Just like a glorious field of buttercups. Superbly suited to all gardens all over Australia including coastal areas all the way up from Sydney to the tropics where the strong colour really shines.Bred here at our nursery in Toowoomba, Queensland. A LOW OR NO BLACKSPOT ROSE nor MILDEW. This rose is a joy to grow. Very shrubby growth with leaves that cover the bush and AMAZING, STRONG PERFUME with notes of of pure damask. The flowers are a strong , rich purple and repeat throughout the season.This rose is a new benchmark in roses nationally. It was bred here in Queensland at our nursery and well suited to all parts of the country. The first Australian bred rose to win at the American Garden Rose Selection trials and the American Rose Trials for Sustainability in 2021 - the "olympics" of rose trials! One of 8 roses to ever win a coveted fragrance award at those trials. 1.2m x 1.2m EXCEPTIONAL AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

"BRINDABELLA REDSTAR "TM
BLACKSPOT BUSTER ROSE. A spectacular modern shrub floribunda rose with very strong perfume - probably unique. Until the release of this rose from our Queensland breeding program, red floribunda roses were not well perfumed. But this rose changes it all! "Brindabella Redstar" is well suited to hot, humid areas, with Low or NO Blackspot, and also in Australia's temperate climates. We have not seen mildew on it at all. Prolific and seldom without a flower, this rose has a thick cover of semi-glossy, green foliage.and grows to 1.2m tall and wide. The red is bright and bold with a real shine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Gorgeous, soft olde world blooms with powerful rose perfume. The rounded bush repeat flowers every 7 weeks through the season and the flowers can be picked for the vase. Low or no blackspot rose. 1.2m x 1m Bred here at our nursery in Toowoomba, Queensland.

A most exciting NEW rose with LOW OR NO BLACKSPOT nor MILDEW. The flowers are strongly perfumed, have a lovely touch of lavendar and all the charm of old English roses YET they repeat in flushes every 6 weeks. The leafy bush is nicely rounded and suits all gardens or pots. Bred here at our nursery in Toowoomba, Queensland.

THE NAME SAYS IT ALL - here is a rose that needs just 4 things: sunlight, 1 bucket of water a week, rose food every 3 months and a crew cut once a year. A dazzling display in flushes every 6 weeks in our hot climate. Fabulous fragrance as garden roses should. Probably the best rose around for a cottage garden. Low or NO blackspot nor mildew and loves the heat.1.2 x 1m

BLACKSPOT BUSTER ROSE. This floribunda rose is a delight, giving perpetual colour in the garden. The flowers are an every changing blend of apricot, tan, pink and yellow, even with a light white striping at times - all the colours of a Tuscan summer and so authentic. Good perfume and a very healthy rose with good foliage cover with low or no blackspot. 1.2m x 1m. Bred here at our nursery in Toowoomba, Queensland.

Press Release: Toowoomba rose breeders Sylvia & John Gray have become the first Australians to win big at two of America’s leading rose trials.


Their rose “Brindabella Pride’ created a buzz when it was introduced there in 2018 and in April, 2020 was announced a winner at the American Rose Trials for Sustainability .

In October, 2020 Mr & Mrs Gray were thrilled to learn that it was awarded a winner at the All America Rose Trials, now called the American Garden Rose Trials, for 2021.

Brindabella Roses co-owner John Gray said “I was numb when I found out – in your wildest dreams you don’t think this could happen –

the rose we bred here was on the roses 'Olympic' podium along with the Meillands and Austins"
